PLEASE NOTE: It is recommended that VU21800 Provide First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis (EpiPen Update) is renewed annually

INCLUDES: workbook, manual, materials, resources and certificate

Ministerial Order 706 states that School staff are required to complete the full course in 22300VIC First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis.



Covered in the course:

  • Understanding the physiology of a Severe Allergic Reaction
  • Recognising what can Trigger a Severe Allergic Reaction
  • Action plan to Avoid Triggers
  • Recognising the difference between a Mild & Severe Allergic Reaction
  • First Aid Management of a Casualty suffering a Severe Allergic Reaction
  • How to deliver Adrenalin through an EpiPen and /or other prescribed Medication
  • Safe Handling, Storage and Maintenance of the EpiPen
  • Skills to write a workplace policy for Anaphylaxis
  • Develop risk minimisation plan, management plan &  strategies for Anaphylaxis

Courses can be combined on the same day.

Homework is issued prior to the course date to enable the participant to complete the theory part of the course. On the day of the course, the homework must be handed in.

Groups or Individuals Welcome. Private Group Bookings are available for 10 people or more.

Written and Practical Assessments will be conducted throughout the course.
